The Burglesauer branch - origin of many flowering branches
shortcut
A branch of the "Black Storks" (Franconian-rural line)
Progenitor
Pankraz Lorber (around 1570-1635), probably a sprout of hosts from Straßgiech. From 1602 he appeared in Burglesau (then still called "Lesau") as the father of Johann ("I.", the first of many of his name in this family part), bought fiefs there repeatedly and died there on August 22, 1635.
Werdegang
The branch split into three branches among Pankraz's great-grandchildren:
Outstanding biographies
- Johann (III. The Elder) Lorber (1666-probably 1725), lived in Dörrnwasserlos and Schneeberg himself, but founded a branch that moved to Wattendorf under his son - hence the progenitor of the Wattendorf branch
- Johann (III the Younger) Lorber (1671-1746), himself lived in Dörrnwasserlos, Gräfenhäusling and Wattendorf, but founded a branch that moved to Oberküps under his son - hence the progenitor of the Oberküpser Zweig
- Andreas Lorber (1679-after 1723) lived in Dörrnwasserlos and Weichenwasserlos himself, but founded a branch that moved to Stübig with his son - hence the progenitor of the Hazy branch
Spread today
Quite successful. Lives in the vigorously flowering branches Wattendorf, Upper heads
and Dull
(and their secondary branches and houses).
